This auspicious day is also associated with Shri Krishan. On this day, Shri Krishan’s poor Brahmin friend Sudama visited his palace with a fistful of fattened rice. Shri Krishan whole-heartedly accepted his humble offerings and showered his friend with riches. Therefore, it is the day when Sudama’s fortune changed, and he became a wealthy man. Also, Ved Vyasa narrated the Mahabharata to Lord Ganesha on this day.

On Akshaya Tritiya, people who observe the vrat prepare Akshate. Grains of unbroken rice are smeared with haldi or turmeric and kumkum. Akshate is offered to Lord Vishnu on this day. This is believed to bring good luck for the family.

parashurama Jayanti is celebrated as the birth anniversary of the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Parshuram Jayanti coincides with the auspicious Akshaya Tritiya and According to religious beliefs, Parashurama was born during Pradosh Kala. Therefore, Parashurama Jayanti celebrations are done on the day when Tritiya prevails during Pradosh Kala.

Hindus believe that Lord Parashurama continues to live on the Earth, unlike all other avatars. Therefore, in contrast to Lord Rama and Krishna, Parashurama is not worshipped.
