Mahakumbh 2025: A Journey of Faith, Fervor, and Fusion of Tradition and Technology
A massive sea of pilgrims took a holy dip at Prayagraj on #MahaShivratri, as the 45-day #MahaKumbh came to an end, amidst chants of 'Har Har Mahadev'.
A record 66 crore people from every echelon of society reached Prayagraj to participate in this mammoth religious and cultural iconic Hindu event.
We saw the religious frenzy, extravagant flight tickets, the concern over faecal contamination of the water, IITian Baba, Monalisa the viral internet sensation, Digital snan, celebrities snan, tents catching fire and the unfortunate stampede with tragic consequences.
From celebrities to working-class Indians — like the Mumbai couple who traveled 1, 200 kilometers on a bike to reach Prayagraj — everyone has or knows a person with a Mahakumbh story.
We also saw the coexistence of tradition and technology and the intersection of commerce and spirituality at Maha Kumbh.
The MahaKumbh extravaganza at Prayagraj will surely have a world record as the largest peaceful congregation of people with a feeling of oneness.
