2 Ways to Clean Makeup Brushes
When was the last you cleaned your makeup brushes? Don't remember? It's okay, we all are same. Cleaning makeup brushes is as important as removing makeup from your face because it can cause serious hygiene issues and it also affects the quality of your makeup application. Dirty brushes contain bacteria and germs that can contaminate your makeup.
Cleaning brushes can be categorized into
1.Spot Cleansing-
Suppose you just have one makeup brush, and you have to switch from a red Eyeshadow to a blue one, at that time you can spot clean your brush by rubbing it over a tissue or handkerchief. It will remove 70-80% of the makeup from the brush.
2.Deep Cleansing(with an eggbrush)-
Eggbrushes removes makeup from a brush perfectly. Just rub the brush over the ridges of the eggbrush using any cleanser or shampoo. Wash it off. Dry the brush and you are good to go.
So, we must have a brush cleaning routine because it's worth the time. Fresh brushes also result in better makeup application and longer-lasting brushes.

We should at least wash once per week to keep ourselves germs and bacteria free.
When should one replace your makeup brushes or sponge?
If you treat your makeup brushes right, then nothing is going to stop you from using it for years. It all depends on your consistency of using it, however if you notice that the brush hairs are splitting off or falling out, or have a foul smell, you can replace them.
